Dating all the way back to 1785, the Fourth of July celebration in Bristol, Rhode Island actually starts on Flag Day, June 14th, and ends with a 2.5 mile parade. Throughout the two and a half weeks, Bristol hosts numerous concerts, parades, and dances to honor the United States.

What better way to celebrate our independence than a fireworks show at the nation’s capitol? With one of the biggest fireworks showcase in the entire United States, Washington D.C. is by far and away one of the coolest places to celebrate the Fourth of July. Philly throws it down on the Fourth of July with the “Largest Free Concert In America,” which features acts including Philadelphia-born The Roots, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Hudson, and many more. People will pack inon the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to enjoy food, activities, and much more.
