Now factor in the population of the Philippines, where Pacquiao is idolised, which stands at over 100,000 million and it soon becomes clear just how much money this fight would gross.
People are dying to see this fight. It is the talk of the boxing world and has been for the past five years. If there was ever a super-fight, this is it. Combining the massive populations of both fighters’ countries with the influx of neutral viewers who can’t help but buy it due to the storied history between the pair and you are practically printing money. You certainly wouldn’t be putting your neck on the line if you suggested that this fight will break the $200 million barrier.
