Fans of the Walking Dead are impatiently waiting for the premiere of the new spinoff Fear the Walking Dead. Fans, such as long-time super fan Claude Maroui Medicis of Scottsdale, AZ have to wait until August to catch the premiere on AMC.
The new series is a sort of a prequel to the Walking Dead. Fear the Walking Dead takes place in Los Angeles and is set during the early days of the outbreak, when people are still unaware of what the hell is going on. It is supposed to be the same apocalypse the Walking Dead characters face. But creators have remained pretty hush hush on some of the details of the new series.
So far, fans do not know much about Fear the Walking Dead. We do know that the show will follow a divorced teacher along with a guidance counselor and her two children. Robert Kirkman, Walking Dead creator, said that the same rules apply in the new series because it is during the same outbreak. So that means the characters in the new series will somehow figure out that everyone is infected. Just like they did in the Walking Dead. Kirkman also hints that we will find out clues in the new series that relates to the Walking Dead. Could this mean that that characters in Fear the Walking Dead will figure out a new way to kill the zombies other than stabbing them in the brain? And could this rollover into the Walking Dead?
There are still a lot of questions that remain unanswered and the new poster and small clip AMC recently released still has us all guessing. Luckily, fans will be able to find out more about Fear the Walking Dead when the official trailer is released in July at San Diego’s Comic Con.
