Amsterdam, the Netherlands

The Dam has long been top of many lads’ lists when it comes to a fun, memorable holiday. Ideal for an easy time away, the capital of the Netherlands has a world-renowned reputation for partying and is packed with clubs that attract the best DJs on the planet. By day, take a boat cruise along a canal, sort out a group bike ride along the winding streets or try out a brewery experience. Bear in mind that, if you go in autumn or winter time, you may have to pay to check a bag rather than just taking a carry-on case. This is because the lower temperature means you’ll have to take a few jackets, boots and long-sleeve t-shirts along instead of shorts and tees.
Ibiza, Spain

The clubs here are visited by people from across the world and you have a great mix of bar vibes — from sports and Irish bars, to rock/indie and chilled pool bars. San Antonio offers an epic night-time scene — but drinks and entry fees can get expensive.
Tenerife, Canary Islands

Cancun may take longer to reach than our other destinations, but it’s well worth the flight. From Vegas-like pool parties and party cruises to nearby islands, to some of the best clubbing experiences in the world and great places for local food; Cancun is a must-do at least once in your life. Like Ibiza, clubs can be expensive, but then again, the entertainment and music are unreal!

You’re bound to have heard of someone having their stag do in Krakow — it’s cheap, friendly and fun. If you’re after a long weekend of bars, beers and chilled times; this city is ideal. Made up of 18 districts, your best bet is booking accommodation near public transport to save on taxi fares or bang in the centre to be near the best nightlife spots. Krakow is full of cool basement bars with great atmospheres. All over the city centre, you’ll have your choice of plenty of bars and places to eat, while the cities most attractive clubs lie on the high streets of Szewska and Florianska.
Best places for a wallet-friendly holiday
Our average daily prices were worked out based on a mid-range style get-away — so if you’re going for budget, they should cost you even less. Out of them all, Krakow beats Amsterdam for a city break, with its cheap accommodation and beer. Unsurprisingly, Ibiza is your most expensive location, while other beach destination, Tenerife, gives you lower hotel, beer and food costs. Cancun and Split have similar average daily costs. However, once you factor in flights, Cancun may work out more expensive.
