It is finally that time of year again. Time for the San Diego Comic-Con International. It kicks off on July 9th and I think it is going to be one of the biggest turnouts San Diego has seen.
The San Diego Comic-Con has been around since the 1970s and continues to get better each year. The four-day event showcases everything from comic books to science fiction shows and movies to horror shows and movies to anime and much more. This convention really has it all .
This is the largest convention of its kind in North America and I am betting that well over 120,000 people will attend this year. It is held at the San Diego Convention Center. So be prepared for downtown San Diego to be covered in people dressed up as super heroes and characters from their favorite comic books and so much more crazy stuff.
The convention will have a number of panels, seminars, workshops and more. There will be a lot of celebrities attending and a chance to do a meet and greet. You can also be sure to check a majority of the creators and writers from your favorites. Some cool events happening this year is the majority of the Walking Dead cast will be there and will release a trailer of AMC’s new show, Fear the Walking Dead. It is the highly anticipated spinoff that premiers in August and so far, we haven’t been told much about it. Also, The Games of Thrones Panel will sure be a hit. Seth Myers will monitor the panel so it should be a pretty interesting.
There is some bad news this year though. Selfie sticks are not allowed. I repeat, selfie sticks are banned at San Diego Comic-Con. Sorry folks, going to have to leave them at home this year.
